Restored Vintage Chanel circa 1972

Image
It was so incredible to stumble upon this gorgeous blouse. Unfortunately It had been neglected and had a bad tear underarm. Since it was a free gift I decided I had to use my sewing/embroidery skills to at least try to bring it back to it's former fabulousity šŸ˜Š. I had to use a reinforcement fabric and extensive sewing by hand but the results are great and I should be able to enjoy this beautiful blouse for many years Hashem willing. Vintage fashion is wearable history so saving it from the landfill feels great . Have a lovely weekend ! Shabbat Shalom Xoxo FFM šŸ˜˜

NON Toxic grease cutting cleaner -DIY orange peel cleaner

Image
Hi everyone , Spring and cleaning is just around the corner! I avoid harsh toxic chemicals in my home so I decided to give this a try. It works amazingly well to clean the stove and as a bonus ANTS and spiders seem to hate the stuff . You just need a large glass jar and orange or Mandarin peels, about 5. Let the mixture sit for about 4 weeks. The longer you keep it the more intense the orange smell as the vinegar mixture helps release the orange essential oils . Once the mixture is ready you can dilute it. Do not use in painted surfaces , granite or wood. Works wonders on tub and stove. XOXO FFM <3 oven I use it to make a paste of baking soda. Enjoy this green clean DIY because Pesach is coming šŸ˜Š

DIY Upcycled wig into pony wig .

Image
Had a old shaitel with excellent hair but a bald spot in front . I needed a pony wig so I decided to take baldie and transform her into a yoga wig šŸ˜Š. It was very easy and the cost was $1.50 for the very stretchy headband from the beauty supply store . First I misted the shaitel and blow dried the nape hair upward . Then I placed the wig on a foam hair and secured with T-pins Next I sewed the headband in front and all around the wig , making sure the bald spot was fully covered . That was it ! Super easy and I saved myself $650 I can wear a different headband on top or do some creative scarf wrappings so I am really excited about how fun this up cycle DIY was. Enjoy and have a wonderful Shabbat .

Clearance target find dress and my salvaged vintage statement headpiece.

Image
Hi everyone, As a avid vintage collector sometimes you stumble on some amazing hats , unfortunately some are crushed or damaged . This headband/hat was made using 1 headband , the velvet piece from a hat and the polka dot lace of another šŸ˜Š. I am so pleased with the headpiece ! As for the dress ...it came from Target's clearance rack for under $6 . Love the print. Xoxo D

Wellness Wednesdays

Image
Today I begin a new weekly topic called wellness Wednesdays. Today I will be focusing on semi precious stones as healing tools , semi precious stones can be extremely beneficial due to their mineral content and vibration . Each stone has unique health benefits some of my favorite ones are amethyst for relaxation and calm , citrine for wellness during cold dark winters, pink quartz for serenity and coping with stress , excellent for emotional healing , amber is fascinating because it is actually a mineralized tree resin that is outstanding for all sorts of inflammation , I used it on my kids during teething and it worked wonders. Style wise they look and feel Beautiful, I love wearing a few stacked ,I just make sure they all "feel right " and that their vibration doesn't clash ! Also make sure you get genuine stones from reputable sources to ensure there is no leather hardware and that they are not laced with toxic finishes . I will continue sharing the different medicin
